Current Openings at Rocky Mountain Prestress:

 CONCRETE TECHNICIAN

  • Perform physical properties testing of concrete per ACI methodologies, including slump, air content, unit weight, temperature, compressive strength cylinders, laboratory testing for gradation
  • Print reading, experience to confirm actual physical set-ups and reinforcing steel placement
  • Reading comprehension for specifications & ASTM requirements
  • Willing to assist in manufacturing processes
  • PCI & ACI certification is desirable

 WELDERS – both Plant and Field openings

  • Proficient skills in arc welding, 7018 rod, vertical and overhead welding
  • Read and understand weld prints and symbols; weld with limited or no supervision
  • Safely handle and erect concrete structural products as trained
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment; report to work on time as scheduled
  • Welding training/education or one year welding work experience
  • Reliable and consistent work record; construction experience a plus
  • Field requires valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to get to job sites
  • Field requires ability to work on outdoor structures at high levels off the ground

 PROJECT MANAGER

  • Develop schedules in detail from data provided by sales staff; serve as primary contact for customers
  • Review resource plans; develop project budgets; coordinate progress of the project with all departments
  • Resolve problems timely; know scope of work sold, manage changes; communicate customer feedback
  • Manage quality, budgets, and risks on a daily basis; develop monthly billings; champion payment collections
  • Operate within the PM Standards & Procedures; define & deliver project in compliance with success criteria
  • Review final shop drawings before printing and/or delivery to confirm scope matches contract
  • Order materials timely and accurately and monitor materials; communicate project expectations to stakeholders
  • Assure all project objectives are met – schedules, budgets, quality, safety, cost, time, and contract administration
  • Understand commercial building projects, precast requirements, conceptual layouts, scheduling, specs, contracts
  • Understand basic engineering design concepts; local construction community contacts beneficial
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project; beneficial if skilled in AutoCAD, 3D AutoCAD, and Revit
  • 5+ yrs’ experience in construction industry; plus management degree or equivalent and relevant work experience

 LABORER

  • Report to work on-time as scheduled and learn procedures for concrete production
  • Follow instructions given by supervisor, lead, or other experienced laborers
  • Perform all required duties as trained in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times
  • Seek additional work when needed to stay productive; ask questions to continue learning
  • Minimum 6 months industrial, construction, or related work experience

 Jr Estimator / Project Coordinator

  • Review specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  • Calculate takeoffs, material price lists, labor costs, equipment, and specialty items.
  • Utilize company-estimating system to develop bid package and follows company guidelines, systems, policies and procedures.
  • Research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines for future estimates.
  • Maintain working documents for back-up to estimating figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, specification, quality or availability of materials.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, subcontractors or others to discuss and formulate estimates, schedule work activities, and resolve issues.
  • Develop clearly written proposals for clients.
  • Self-motivated and work well with others, possess a positive attitude, provide quality customer service, create customer satisfaction and work productively.

 Concrete Technical / Inspector-Construction

  • Demonstrated experience performing physical properties testing of concrete per ACI methodologies including slump, air content, unit weight, temperature, and casting of compressive strength cylinders, as well as laboratory testing for gradation and compressive strength.
  • Print reading, including the experience to confirm actual physical setups to printed documents.
  • Reading comprehension for specifications & ASTM requirements
  • Ability to assist in manufacturing concrete products while maintaining objectivity in determining whether a product is acceptable.
  • Must have a reliable and consistent work record.
  • Must pass a post offer drug screen and physical assessment.

 Production Supervisor

  • Plan and organize crews
  • Supervise personnel to achieve completion of projects on schedule to conform to original plans and specifications.
  • Develop and control plans for profit and operating budget
  • Implement cost effective systems, and manpower
  • Establish and monitor overall performance for production and quality standards
  • Control and minimize overtime expenses
  • Perform tasks to maintain production and to support production schedule requirements
  • Motivate, coach, train and develop employees within the department to ensure employee success
  • Provide leadership and training to the workforce to accomplish company goals and objectives
  • Provide staff training and development to ensure development of highly skilled workforce
  • Documentation of daily logs, work orders, timecards, daily safety inspections, etc.
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Interacts with other departments as needed
  • Blue Print Reading

 Superintendent – SOS

  • Schedule Subcontractors, consultants and vendors in critical path to ensure on time completion.
  • Quality control duties and responsibilities regarding work being performed.
  • Communicate with project team regarding RFI’s and material submittals.
  • Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate work.
  • Ensure job site is always kept clean and organized.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Assist in budgeting, bidding and award of subcontractors
  • Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
  • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job site.
  • Identify areas of work that are outside of subcontracted scope.

 Assistant Superintendent – SOS

  • Assist the Project Superintendent with overall day-to-day supervision for field related construction activities.
  • Ensure that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual requirements and quality standards.
  • Scheduling and directing the daily activities of work and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met.
  • Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence, updating as-built drawings.
  • Implementing incremental project schedules that make sure upcoming events are on track and are being proactively attended to.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards.
  • Promoting and maintaining a culture that values safety, health, and cleanliness.
  • Conducting and / or attending pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings.
  • Participating in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.

 Controller

  • Establishes a system of internal controls and system of financial reporting.
  • Preparing and filing annual tax returns.
  • Preparing or directing preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets and /or reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Following procedures established by the organization to evaluate project results regarding schedule, costs, client relationships, quality, activities , and other performance, Supervises all accounting staff, to include payroll.
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations in order to identify development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement or investment activities of all or part of the organization.
  • Perform tax planning work.
  • Provide direction and assistance to the organization units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient utilization of financial resources.
  • Evaluate the needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.
  • Conduct/ coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and non-organization accounting personnel in order to facilitate financial activities.
  • Receive cash, checks and deposit funds.
  • Compute, withhold and account for all payroll deductions.

 Project Engineer PE

  • Assist with management of specified areas of project work.
  • Ensure that design and details area prepared and transferred to the Project Drafter in a clear and timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Assist in management of projects by tracking work with consideration of budget and schedule.
  • Review plans, details, and specifications and provide interpretation of the same. Identify all deficiencies and assist Project Manager with resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to Company Standards and Procedures.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to other design engineers for training and project work.
  • Provide technical assistance to other departments as required.
  • Be informed of current developments within the Company and the industry and be vigilant in finding ways to improve efficiency and economy.
  • Pursue continuous education for professional, technical and managerial proficiency.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner
  • Background in bridge construction and design is preferable
  • Experience with design of precast/prestressed concrete is preferable.
  • College degree – Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado.

 Production Control Clerk

  • Document control, processing blue prints and material takeoffs for use in the factory, and data entry (using Excel and AutoCAD)
  • Collects and records production data for: Production reports, product specifications, raw materials, work orders, estimates, and other aspects of production.
  • Processes production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed.
  • Maintains files of documents used in production.
  • Charts production schedules for reference by production supervisors and management.
  • Prepare clear, complete, and accurate work plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes, according to specified dimensions by computer aided design (CAD) system.
  • Use CAD equipment to support engineers and production supervisors by preparing layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams. Details to include all views and dimensions for manufacture.
  • Keen knowledge of Revit and other various drafting packages and software needed to complete drawings.
  • Working as a member of the drafting team cooperating with the department manager, other drafters, engineers, and production supervisors to execute high quality drafting work with no errors.
  • Final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure of project.
  • Make all adjustments or changes as directed by drafting manager or engineer.
  • Implement designs from engineer’s sketches or from other engineering documentation.
  • Visually compare design of component with drawing of parts, matching coordinating points for accuracy of fit.
  • Requirements – Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete assignments on time and on schedule.

 CONCRETE FIELD FINISHER SUPERVISOR (FOREMAN)

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, good driving record to get to and from job sites
  • Must be comfortable working on structures at high levels off the ground working outdoors
  • Must have concrete finishing experience
  • Experience in vertical concrete and/or architectural concrete construction
  • Follow instructions given by field manager, field lead, and other experienced field crew
  • Perform all required duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Report to work on time as scheduled
  • Must pass post-offer drug screen and physical assessment
  • Must have a successful track record of leading construction crews
  • Will be a member of Local 720 Colorado Laborers Union
  • Pay ranges from $30-$33 per hour

 CONCRETE FIELD GROUTER SUPERVISOR (FOREMAN)

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, good driving record to get to and from job sites
  • Must be comfortable working on structures at high levels off the ground working outdoors
  • Experience in vertical concrete and/or architectural concrete construction
  • Maintains files of documents used in production.
  • Follow instructions given by your field manager, field lead, and other experienced field crew
  • Perform all required duties in a safe and efficient manner as trained
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Report to work on time as scheduled
  • Must pass post-offer drug screen and physical assessment
  • Must have concrete grouting experience
  • Must have successful track record of leading construction crews
  • Will be a member of Local 720 Colorado Laborers Union
  • Pay ranges from $30-$33. per hour
